In 2021, I released 500 limited edition posters, all signed and numbered. Posters are €25 each and can be shipped worldwide.
Last year I received the honor of providing the poster art for Fleadh na gCuach. It is a time we all look forward to each year in Kinvara. A time to celebrate the start of the summer season, the long evenings, and the amazing musical talents we have in our small, but substantial town. But of course, the Cuckoo Festival 2020 did not go as planned and became one of the many events to be put on hold as covid took its toll across the globe. The Cuckoo Committee decided it best to hold on to the painting in hopes of using it for the following year's poster. Surely things would be back to normal by then...
Alas, here we are. Although life is still far from normal, it is nice to be reminded of the fun times we've all had together. The Cuckoo Committee kindly agreed to releasing the poster, in the hopes it will remind everyone of the fun we used to have, and the fun we are sure to enjoy again in the future.
The painting is titled The Cuckoo's Castle and is supposed to be a joyous representation of the wonderful festival we celebrate each year. And even this year it still rings true, as we are all feeling a bit 'cuckoo' being locked away from normality for so long. I think we all can imagine being one of the birds, flitting around the tree, and being free from the restrictions holding us back.
I hope you all enjoy my work, wear a mask, wash your hands, get vaccinated, and most importantly, remember there are plenty more fun times right around the corner. We're nearly there.
